Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about creating Solana tokens with MoonSol

Token Creation

How much does it cost to create a Solana token?

The base fee is 0.2 SOL (50% off from 0.4 SOL). Additional features like revoking authorities, custom creator info, and website generation cost extra. See our pricing page for full details.

Do I need coding experience?

No! MoonSol is designed for everyone. Our platform handles all the technical aspects - you just fill out a form and we deploy your token to the blockchain.

How long does it take to create a token?

The entire process takes about 5-10 minutes. Once you submit the form and pay the fee, your token is deployed within seconds and confirmed on the blockchain within a minute.

What is an SPL token?

SPL (Solana Program Library) token is the standard for tokens on the Solana blockchain, similar to ERC-20 tokens on Ethereum. All tokens created on MoonSol are SPL tokens.

Can I update my token after creation?

Token metadata can be updated if you didn't make it immutable during creation. However, blockchain properties like supply and authorities cannot be changed once revoked.

Authorities & Security

What is freeze authority?

Freeze authority allows the token creator to freeze token accounts, preventing transfers. Most projects revoke this to enable liquidity pool creation and build trust with holders.

What is mint authority?

Mint authority allows creating new tokens, increasing the total supply. Revoking it locks the supply permanently, which is common for fixed-supply tokens and builds trust.

Should I revoke authorities?

For most projects: Revoke freeze authority to create liquidity pools. Revoke mint authority if you want a fixed supply. This builds trust with investors.

Is my wallet secure with MoonSol?

Yes! We never access your private keys. All transactions are signed in your wallet (Phantom, Solflare, etc.). You maintain full control of your funds and tokens.

Liquidity Pools

What is a liquidity pool?

A liquidity pool is a collection of tokens locked in a smart contract that enables decentralized trading. It allows users to buy and sell your token on DEXs like Raydium.

How much liquidity should I add?

Most successful tokens start with at least 5-10 SOL in liquidity. More liquidity means less price volatility and better trading experience for holders.

What is CPMM?

CPMM (Constant Product Market Maker) is a pool type on Raydium that uses the x*y=k formula. It's similar to Uniswap V2 and is the most common pool type for new tokens.

Can I remove liquidity later?

Yes, as the pool creator you can remove your liquidity at any time. However, removing all liquidity will prevent trading of your token.

What are the fee tiers?

Fee tiers (0.25%, 0.3%, 0.5%) are the trading fees collected from each swap. 0.25% is common for stablecoins, 0.3% for most tokens, and 0.5% for volatile pairs.

Promotion & Marketing

How does Telegram promotion work?

We post your token to our Telegram channel with 10,000+ active crypto investors. The post includes your token name, symbol, contract address, logo, and description.

When should I promote my token?

Best time is right after creating your token and adding liquidity. This creates immediate awareness and can help build your initial holder base.

Can I promote multiple times?

Yes! Each promotion costs 0.4 SOL. Some creators promote during different phases (launch, major updates, partnerships, etc.).

What should I include in my token description?

Include what makes your token unique, use cases, community info, and any social links. Keep it concise but informative - this is what investors see first.

Website Generation

What does the website generator create?

We create a professional, mobile-responsive website with your token info, animated design, risk analysis, social links, and more - all hosted on decentralized IPFS.

Can I customize the website?

The website is generated from a professional template. You can customize colors, content, and social links by updating your token's metadata.

Where is the website hosted?

Your website is hosted on IPFS (InterPlanetary File System), a decentralized storage network. This means it's permanent, censorship-resistant, and always accessible.

Can I use my own domain?

Yes! You can point your custom domain to your IPFS website using services like Cloudflare or ENS. The IPFS URL works immediately.

Payment & Fees

What payment methods do you accept?

We only accept SOL directly from your Solana wallet. All fees are paid in SOL through your connected wallet (Phantom, Solflare, etc.).

Are there hidden fees?

No hidden fees! The prices shown are all you pay, plus minimal Solana network fees (usually less than 0.01 SOL for transaction processing).

Do you offer refunds?

Due to the blockchain's immutable nature, all transactions are final. However, we provide full support if you encounter technical issues.

Why are your fees lower than competitors?

We've optimized our processes and want to make token creation accessible. The 50% discount on base fees makes us one of the most affordable platforms.

Technical

What wallets are supported?

We support all major Solana wallets: Phantom, Solflare, Trust Wallet, and any wallet-adapter compatible wallet.

What is IPFS?

IPFS (InterPlanetary File System) is decentralized storage where your token metadata and websites are stored. It's permanent, distributed, and censorship-resistant.

Can I create tokens on devnet/testnet?

Currently, we only support mainnet token creation. This ensures your tokens are on the main Solana blockchain and can be traded immediately.

What happens if the transaction fails?

If a transaction fails, check your SOL balance and try again. Common issues: insufficient SOL for fees, network congestion, or wallet connectivity. Contact support if problems persist.
