Add Liquidity

Add liquidity to an existing Raydium pool.

Connect your Solana wallet to use this tool.

What the add liquidity tool does

Adding liquidity to a pool that already exists deepens the book without changing the price. You deposit both sides at the pool's current ratio and receive additional LP tokens for the larger share you now own.

  • Deposits are made at the pool's current ratio, so topping up does not move your token's price.
  • Deeper liquidity means lower price impact per trade, which is what makes a chart look orderly instead of spiky.
  • Your LP token balance grows in proportion to your share of the pool, and so does your cut of swap fees.
  • Both sides must be funded — you cannot add only tokens or only SOL to a constant-product pool.

How to use the Solana add liquidity tool

  1. Select the pool

Choose the existing Raydium pool for your token pair.

  2. Enter an amount

Type one side and the matching amount of the other side is derived from the current pool ratio.

  3. Confirm the deposit

Approve in your wallet. Both assets move into the pool and you receive additional LP tokens.

Add Liquidity FAQ

01Does adding liquidity change my token's price?

No. Deposits are made at the existing ratio, so the price is unchanged. What changes is depth — the same trade size now moves the price less.

02Do I earn anything for providing liquidity?

You earn a pro-rata share of the pool's swap fee on every trade, accrued into the pool and realised when you withdraw. Against that, you carry the pool's exposure to both assets.

03What is impermanent loss?

If your token's price moves relative to SOL, the pool rebalances and your withdrawable value ends up below simply holding the two assets. Fee income offsets it; a large one-directional move usually does not.
