Mint Tokens

Mint additional supply to a wallet (requires mint authority).

Connect your Solana wallet to use this tool.

What the mint tokens tool does

Minting creates new supply and sends it to an address you choose. It only works while mint authority is live and held by your wallet, which is why projects that plan staged emissions keep that authority instead of revoking it at launch.

  • Creates new tokens and credits them to any Solana address, increasing total supply.
  • Only the current mint authority can do this — if you revoked it, minting is permanently impossible.
  • Typical uses are reward emissions, treasury top-ups, vesting tranches, and market-maker inventory.
  • New supply is visible instantly on-chain, so mints into a live market are noticed and priced in.
  • Test the amount on devnet first; decimals are the most common way to mint a thousand times too many tokens.

How to use the Solana mint tokens tool

  1. Select your token

Choose a mint your wallet still holds mint authority for.

  2. Enter recipient and amount

Set the destination address and the amount in whole tokens. Check the decimals before confirming.

  3. Confirm

Approve the transaction. The tokens exist and are credited immediately.

Mint Tokens FAQ

01Why does minting fail for my token?

Almost always because mint authority was revoked, or the connected wallet is not the authority holder. Check the mint on Solscan — if the mint authority field is null, no further supply can ever be created.

02Does minting dilute holders?

Yes, in the sense that each existing token is a smaller share of the total. Communities react badly to unannounced mints, so publish your emission schedule before you use this tool.

03Is there a maximum supply?

SPL tokens have no protocol-level cap; supply is bounded by a 64-bit integer once decimals are applied. In practice a fixed supply comes from revoking mint authority, not from a cap field.
